pedals?

master/slave cylinders?

do you want the differential too.. compare the ratios.

radiator?

are you going from carb to FI?

I don't know much about zx's... do they have an ECU?

thats off the top of my head..... you could probably go many different ways on this... so i was just trying to give you things to think about....

Wiring harness? All fuel lines? Fuel pump? Relays? ECU? Gas Tank? All of those things and more would have to be changed in order to change a 72 to a fi 79 ZX system. Some people use a stand alone engine management system for this type of conversion. Like I said in my other post, if it has carbs, keep the carbs. A lot of skill and knowlege is necessary to do this swap. If you've never done this type of swap before, seek outside help.

i can't use the radiator cause a pole backed into the car (it wasn't me!). and as for the fuel tank, i heard that it wouldn't fit w/o major fabrication.

yes i plan on keeping the fi, that's why i ask. i really want to do some work on the E88 on my L24 before i swap over the carbs (and i might decide to keep the fi in if i like it)

You have to use a fuel tank designed for fi. The stock 240 tank doesn't have the baffling needed to prevent fuel starvation. Everything I mentioned and more would have to be changed over to the 240 if you want the car to run right. Like I said, do A LOT of research before you tackle this one. I don't think you realize what you're getting yourself into. And if you are succesful with the swap you won't have the option of going back and forth between carbs and fi. It's either one or the other.

I'M OUT. . . .
