I can't get to the front page..all I get is a message saying I'm not logged in...then I try to log in and it won't accept it.

Other than the front page I seem to be able to do everything else. I got to the site by an email to a subscribed thread. My short cut to the site leads me to the same login message. ( and can't log in).

Amazing how we're all having different problems. I seem to be OK in all phases/sections of the new site (so far) but I can't get the home page to "remember me". I have to log in every time. Yes, I'm clicking the remember me box, I tried in both places. On the old site I could just click the classiczcars.com and waa-laa, I was on without having to login. I'm sure Mike is doing his best to weed out the bugs.

Hi guys,

The only thing I can tell you is what I know about how the site works..

1) Enable browsing with cookies.

2) Allow all cookies from our site.

3) Add our site (http://www.classiczcars.com) to your "trusted sites" list.

I am using Crazy Browser 1.0.5 and it works through my Internet Explorer settings.... My IE version is 6.0.28 and OS is XP Professional.

I have not tested the site with anything else but IE and Crazy Browser. I'll have to rely on others to let us know what works... You can get Crazy Browser at (http://www.crazybrowser.com)

Firewalls and other such programs might need some adjustment to allow for our new server and website to send you data. For instance, if you are using a firewall software utility and had a profile already set up for our site, you might want to set up a new profile and try it again. You could also disable the firewall and see if our site comes up with no problems. If it does, then you know where the problem is...

Anyway, with all of the crap floating around the Internet nowdays, it's becoming a lot more difficult to administer a site and please everybody. If something works for one person, it may not work for another.

Actually, Michael, you might have a good point. If users are having troubles, perhaps it's due to an cookie from the old site. A log-off and log-in might cure the problem..............

PS: What, you've never blamed a bad golf game on the clubs? :D

Actually it didn't "solve" the problem - I just can't see it if I log off. When I log back on I get the same problem, so I just stay off unless I want to post something.

Mike;

I've gotten rid of all my cookies :sick: ,logged off, logged back on, checked all my settings and still can't get to the front page unless I use a new shortcut I just made. When I log in at either place on the front page, I still get the same message from vbPortal saying I haven't logged in after it says thanks for logging in, yet when I click on any of the other pages at the bottom of that statement's page it goes to that page. I can never get back to the front page.

I'm runnin' WIN2K and IE6 with all the updated service packs. :rolleyes:
