Evel Knievel lives in the Tampa Bay area. A friend bought his Zimmer a couple years ago and it needed alot of work. I just have one question in reference to the sellers comments. They say, "Our winning bid for the car was approx 30K in mid 90's. Believe that after 911 that should be worth today at least 60% of our bid to be successful." I don't understand what they are trying to say. Do they want at least 60% of the 30K that they paid (got ripped off, IMO) for the car? Looks Corvette-ish to me.

I think they're simply admitting that the market value for such a car has gone down. I would agree with that assessment.

I agree with Mike. Prices for many/most collectables dropped like a rock when the economy fell in the toilet at the turn of the century. IMO they overpaid for it anyway.

Wish I could find the thread where the auction for this beast was discussed last time it hit the market. Didn't sell then, doubt it'll sell this time either
