Posted July 29, 200420 yr comment_89210 Just looking for info on two subjects.1. Anyone know what australian companies make old school rims that would suit a 260z? Something like the 10 inch wide back wheels is what i mean. Not too low profile.2. I'm looking for somewhere that fixes dashboards at a good price. Preferably in Townsville, but anywhere in QLD is good. Also an idea on the prices i'd be looking at would be sweet.Any help would be much appreciated :nervous: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12695-mags-and-dashboard-info/ Share on other sites
July 29, 200420 yr comment_89212 1. Try Performance superlite style rims - they are made in Australia.http://www.performancewheels.com.au/super_lite_wheels.htm2. Dashboard Restorations, a sponsor of this site and based in Queensland will be able to sort out your dash.http://www.dashboardrestorations.com.au/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12695-mags-and-dashboard-info/#findComment-89212 Share on other sites
July 29, 200420 yr comment_89216 Hi Mickie For your second question, search of the site yourself and look for "dasboard restorations" in QLD. They are a site sponsor, and judging by the extremely long discussions people have had about the quality of the work they are generally very happy. Do a search, or check the sponsors section for more. Your first question is best answered by determining what type of wheel you want. In addition, I would doubt that a 10-inch wheel would fit under a z without flares. Others will correct me on this no doubt!! Your best chance is to have a look on the net and see a wheel design you like, then try and find out who makes it. Performance in Australia make a few, including a minilite copy (called the mini-heavy by many people!!!) that is very popular, however the wheel of choice for many on this site is the "Watanbe" brand from Japan. These are expensive, but can sometimes be picked up second hand if you keep an eye out. Good luck on your hunt. Yep...two people typing at the same time. Nice one Halz, we think the same! July 29, 200420 yr comment_89218 I do believe Mickie does have some flares for the zed. I'm not quite sure how wide you can go with the flares though. July 30, 200420 yr comment_89291 My preference out of the Performance range is the Challenger but paint the centers entirely, they look a lot better than the way the factory do them. Mine were done with black centers, the rims being left unpainted, but there is no reason why they could not be done in a different colour eg to contrast with the car's colour. I'll have a set of Challengers in unmarked condition for sale soon @ $150 each but they are 15"x7".
