Something to add to your useless information file.

In the centre of the steering wheel is a circle enclosing the word "Datsun".

At the other end of the dash is an oblong plate which reads, (in my Zed), Datsun 260Z. These items should be nice and shiny so they stand out. If they don't on your car, here's what I did.

In a store where hand crafts are sold, you can pick up a kit containing a chrome foil and glue pen.

Go over the wording very carefully with the glue pen, wait until it's tacky, apply the foil and hey presto, job done.

Yair, O.K. Gee,

I'll be taking pics at the Rockhampton Car Show this weekend so I'll make sure to snap a pic of my Zed's dash for you.

My wife put me onto the idea. She's into all sorts of hand crafts. I refer to her as my "Crafty" wife.

As far as I know, my "Precious" will be the only Zed at the car show. Hope they have a section for Zeds only, I'll be sure to place. ROFLROFLROFL .

My only other attempt was to use 1/2 inch wide chrome pinstriping tape and trimming with a sharp blade. Very time consuming, exacting work that I was not satisfied with.

I used "chrome" paint and a cigarette filter. Put enough paint in a cup to just cover the bottom. Touch the cigarette filter to the paint. Because the DATSUN is raised as you touch the filter that is wider than the letters it will only touch the top surfaces. It's so much fun you'll wish you had more to do.I also used that to paint my brake lines in my engine compartment. No drips fun and easy.

Hey there Billy boy,

You like tips do you ???

Well, here's a couple more to add to your useless information file.

When your windshield wiper blades get grungy, clean them with rubbing alcohol. You'll get more than just clean wipers---you'll also prevent ice from forming on the blades.

Want to brighten up the chrome or polished aluminium without buying expensive polishes ?????????

Then try using the same thing you clean your teeth with. No, not the tooth Brush mate, TOOTH PASTE !!!!!!

There ya go Bill, did that put a smile on your face ?????.

Rick.
