Chino 240Z Posted August 11, 2004 Share #1 Posted August 11, 2004 I am passing on info from one of our Neighbor club members- ClubZ, in which Dan is selling a motor he received as payment of a debt owned to him. He owns a 300zx so can not use this 240 motor, I already have an extra, so first $350 take it.Additional parts are available too. If this is a good deal you may offer him more to confirm the sale? Here is his email to me:Craig,I have inspected the motor with Z Car Garage. Good news! This is a very nicerebuild. Everything up top is new (valves, springs, hardware, cam (appearsstock), timing chain, sprockets, etc.) There is no porting on the head. Thebottom has new pistons, rods, bearings, etc. The crank and rods have beenbalanced so it's a pretty safe assumption that the entire engine has beenbalanced and blueprinted. =)Here are some hi res pics.http://www.instrumentalsciences.com/temp/L24/L24.html You can see a lot ofthe polished areas and fresh dimples where things have been balanced. Youcan also see some remnants of the shrink wrap near the engine stand mountsand the tag about valves needing to be adjusted. Nice shiny new pistons!I've got the valve cover, timing chain cover, the oil pan and a completeengine gasket kit. I'm also selling other parts- a radiator, starter, distributor, brand new clutch disk (factory sealed), used clutch, used pressure plate, aused flywheel, some pullies, and a harmonic balancer.First $350 takes all. The engine stand is also available for $25.The other parts are also for sale for $100. The web page has the correct breakdown. Sorry for any confusion, Let me know,Dan email- flyt300@sbcglobal.net------------------------Let me know if I can help, Craig
