In the UK z's are SO rare that most people have absolutely no idea what they are so they don't know whether to slag it off or not. It helps to not have any datsun badges otherwise they WILL slag it off.

Example: your car isn't all rusty, the tyres are OK. Hahahahahahahahahah!!!!! - what a comedian!!!

Hahaha, you british guys. Z's are supposedly common out here in the states and especially in Cali, but I hardly ever see one. If I am in my Z I am bound not to see one. When I get compliments about the car, it is always from the older crowd. Nothing wrong with that, I just hope it brings back good memories. My friends Dads' love the car. They remember from their college days about Z's. One of my friends is Japanese and his Dad had a yellow 240 and he loved it, but his wife forced him to sell it. Most youngsters don't even bother to look.

While waiting for the 77 280Z to be completed, we purchased the 72 240Z "Vintage Z". We've been called "rice burner" by our Chevy and Ford buddys from the begining. Scott even won a special trophy that says "It's Nice But It's Rice". On the top of the trophy where the little cup is they actually put rice in there! That same car won Best in Class (1970-1979) out of 100+ cars in that class alone, at a local car show a few years back. Beat out bb Chevelles, modified vettes, Camaros, Cudas, etc. Needless to say, there were some mighty pissed off people but the judges new the little yellow bone stock 240Z was something else. The 77 280Z won Best Engine at a Muscle Car show a few months ago. More PO'd people I'm sure.

We get dissed by alot of people but that just makes the victory even sweeter for Scott.

My 16 year old daughter calls my 73 240Z the POO Car. She infromed me that since it is brown it looks like a big turd. However she keeps asking me to teach her how to drive it. Stick and New Drivers... can't do it I love my clutch and car as that are. :bandit:

Guys are usauly the ones that diss mine. Its gotten called rice burner, jap crap, pos, you name it.

All thease names came from a naighbor that wanted one untill i got one.

Teenage girls call it a bad arse car. Or ask if i can take them for a ride in it.

But i have had teenage girls threaten to still it to. I donno if thats good or not ,some of the kids around here just might.

oh yeah thats pretty old before i took off the fender emblems and put the sidestrips. i didnt mean to post with that username. i signed on it just because i wanted to see if it still worked. i would still be using it but after i scrolled through the list of registered users and noticed no one had 280z, i jumped on it. thanks for the compliment.

75, i had a 76 but sold it to my buddy.
