Posted August 15, 200420 yr comment_91265 Does anyone know if you can remove a tacho from a 260 (i have '74) from the back of the dash? The dashcap is hindering me from removing it from the front. August 17, 200420 yr comment_91616 So you've had a dash cap installed and because of that you can't just pull it out from the front? That IS how you take it out, I've taken mine out several times that way.. But I think due to the shape of the cone you'd have a LOT of trouble getting it out through the back of the dash.. If it can be done at all.. August 17, 200420 yr comment_91628 I've also got a dashcap on my 75 and it does hinder removal, although at can be done (on mine anyway) I have to twist the tacho around about a quarter of a circle to remove it as the shrowd isnt perfectly round. It is impossible (afaik) to remove it from the rear of the dash. Best of luck!Luke Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12877-removing-the-tacho/#findComment-91628 Share on other sites
