s130 Posted August 16, 2004 Share #1 Posted August 16, 2004 Just saw this today and couldnt believe my eyes. Does this guy really want to sell this car so cheap, or is he just hoping that heaps of people are going to outbid each other, or is it just a typo. Eithway, $8800 for a brand new 350Z is bloody cheap.http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=45571&item=2487246908&rd=
Alfadog Posted August 16, 2004 Share #2 Posted August 16, 2004 South Australian numberplate, but in Moreton Qld. And he has a Spanish email address. Hmm. I'm guessing he's just waiting for everyone to bid it up. It's only got 2 days left though, but it was listed only today.... we'll see! (I'll be watching it I'll tell you that much!!) Mr Camouflage Posted August 16, 2004 Share #3 Posted August 16, 2004 Yes. It seems a bit odd the someone who buys lego and toy cars has a $60,000 sports car for sale for $8800.Maybe his ebay account has be hijacked. It all seems very sus.
Bambikiller240 Posted August 16, 2004 Share #4 Posted August 16, 2004 Probably a rip off auction. The winner will send a down payment by certified check, or wire tranfer, and that will be the last he sees/hears of his money, or the car/seller. Definitely a suspicious deal. Fun_in_my_z Posted August 16, 2004 Share #10 Posted August 16, 2004 It has to have a engine in it.(or somthing) Otherwise the front end would be sitting higher.
BillD Posted August 16, 2004 Share #11 Posted August 16, 2004 Looks like the auction has ended early because "the item was lost or broken". Another too good to be true lesson.
Mr Camouflage Posted August 16, 2004 Share #12 Posted August 16, 2004 Was probably listed as a joke.I doubt that the car has even been to queensland. Some kid probably just got the photos from the net, and put them up.I sent the seller a question, but got no reply. I also asked a seller who had sold some lego to the "person" where they were located: "hattonville qld"
