Posted August 19, 200420 yr comment_91766 Have a look at my avatar and you will seethat my Z has bumper-mounted indicators. I remember reading some detailed instructions in another post on how these could be removed and the park lights rewired to also act as indicators. Apparently the wiring already exists to do this...its just unused. Can anyone direct me to this thread? I've tried for ages to find it! August 19, 200420 yr comment_91779 Halz, the wiring exists, but have look at your len's.There are 2 types of parkers/indicators len's.Type 1 does not have the "proper" connections/interior for the flasher.Type 2 does. You may need to upgrade to a set from a later 260.MOM Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12920-removing-bumper-mounted-indicators/#findComment-91779 Share on other sites
August 19, 200420 yr Author comment_91783 Thanks Mike I wil have a look. I'm certain there was a detailed guide to this modification posted somewhere in the forums... What I want to do is remove the bumper-mounted indicators (Shame! A departure from original I hear me say ) and put an amber globe indicator behind my clear parking light lenses. August 19, 200420 yr comment_91785 It can be done, the 240 is running one pair of each, From memory I had to modify/make a divider between the second bulb.HIHMOM Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12920-removing-bumper-mounted-indicators/#findComment-91785 Share on other sites

August 19, 200420 yr comment_91904 This should be quite simple, provided the lower light has provision for a double fillament bulb.Run the wire from the bumper mounted light to the lower light and fit a double fillament bulb.Another way would be to disconnect the side light and just splice in the indicator wire. You can fit H4's that have the side lights if you feel that you need them.Nick Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12920-removing-bumper-mounted-indicators/#findComment-91904 Share on other sites
