Window channel felt

Is there supposed to be a nylon shoe guide at the lower rear corner of the window that slides inside of the rear window channel? I thought I saw one on my 72, but it is gone and now my driver's window flops around.

I have found all of the Window felt and weatherstripping from Precision Replacement Parts in Seattle. They had a complete kit (with a few exceptions). I have the parts list if anyone is interested or you can go here: http://www.prp.com/ . I found the prices VERY reasonable. ALSO, I found that Black Dragon had the best prices on the Inner Fuzzies that mount to the Door Panel as well as the Belt Line Seal (Chrome strip at the base of the window with a rubber squeegie). If anyone is looking for parts I probably am about 10 steps in front of you...I am willing to give my two cents where I found my parts if your willing to do the same.

I just replaced these on my '73. I got them from Z Car Source for $11 each side. They are rubber that fold in half and fit in the channel very nice. Super easy to feed in there also. I'd rather support a Z car specific supplier over the big companies!

Yeah, I hear you! Normally, I do the same but I was just having a devil of a time finding some of the small-obscure seals. Hope it is working out well for you.

Has anyone done a search on the window felt?

I posted the part numbers from JC Whitney at least 6 years back the first time and again several times since. They have the felt for the door glass and the fuzzy strip for the inside. They also have the rubber gasket for the door seal that works well for a 240Z. All are at bargain prices.

I have had great success with the 184874 window channel felts from JC Whitney, like the other guys have said.

I did a search and couldn’t find those part numbers for the fuzzy strips or door gaskets, if its not too much trouble could you post those and let us know how they worked out and if there were any issues installing them?

Can the JC Whitney channel felt be used as one continuous piece in substitute of an upper felt and lower rubber channel? My doors have been stripped for two years and nothing remains in the frame for me to go by.

I'm surprised no one has tried going to a local glass shop for channel. My local glass shop has a catalog of a bazillion different channels. He can have what I need here in a day or two from his warehouse supplier.

One need not go across the country or around the world for stuff you can get in your own back yard......
