Admittedly, Christopher's new acquisition of beauty number 27 inspired me for this topic - what do you guys actually DO for a living? I know a lot of guys here do IT work, but how wide does the cross-section actually go?

Me - I am studying a Bachelor in Commerce majoring in management and a Bachelor in IT majoring in Multimedia.

I made a poll here - sorry but there were only a max of 15 choices!! You can click multiple boxes if you do more than one thing, and it *says* that teh results are anonymous, so if you don't want us to know, but would like to add to the stats, you can do that!

Well, now, Lachlan old mate,

I clicked on "Retired" and wasn't allowed to go back and click "Military" as well (although that was quite some time ago). As for what I do now, well, it all depends on how big a list of jobs my "She Who Must Be Obeyed" has given me however, as I live about two hundred yards away from a good fishing spot, it doesn't take too much imagination to guess what I do in my spare time.

I'm surprised that you haven't had more replies.

Rick.

Make me laugh, panchovisa! Me too!

I'm an architect. I graduated in 1977 from the University of Florida and then went back to grad school in 1983 for a Masters of Design in Architecture. I worked for large corporations for a while and started my own projects when CAD came into play around 1988. For a long time, I worked for a firm during the day and my own projects at home at night. When I was making as much money on my own as I was being paid, I quit and opened up my own studio in 1994. I do very large custom homes internationally and started offering interior design services last year. I am the current chairman of the City of Sarasota Historic Preservation Board and I also sit on the Board of Directors for the Sarasota Historic Alliance.

I'm a collector/investor of fine high end automobiles. I travel all over the world to purchase rare and vintage cars. I bring them back in my own personal 747 which I actually hold a pilots license to fly.

NOT

I'm a loan processor and my husband is a ThemoDynamic Engineer which is a fancy word for residential and commercial air conditioning concept and design.

I worked 34 1/2 years in 'perishable commodities merchandising.' Okay, okay, I'm a retired grocery clerk. I now work 2 to 4 days a week as the receiving clerk at ACE Hardware just for something to do as my wife won't be retiring for a few years yet.
