I have a degree in analytical chemistry, but since I got disabled, I work for the Social Security Company. That and 3 part-time jobs might help me to get my GTO conversion done on the 280Z over the winter. That way, in the spring/summer, I might head down Tampa ways in the GTO to see my sweetie.

Got that Vicky?

Why don't you move down here to be with your girlfriend? Doesn't she live in Apollo Beach or something. Long distance love affairs...........I couldn't handle that :P

Rocket scientist too - kind of. Ph. D. in engineering 15 years ago - did Probabilistic Risk Assessments of Nuclear power plants and such for about 8 years, and then got deeper into programming and Software Engineering. Now I work at the University of Illinois in the "Center for Simulation of Advanced Rockets". Big 3D parallel-computer simulations of solid propellant rockets. I'm the Software Engineering Manager for the group. I also teach C and C++ programming on the side at the local community college.

I am the managing editor of a weekly community newspaper in the town I grew up in. I guess I could have checked senior management too, but that sounded a little high profile for what I do. When you work at a small weekly you wear many hats -- editor, reporter, photographer, ad salesman, the guy our readers complain to when the picture of their giant pumpkin didn't get in this week's edition. Now if I could just keep my classmates from high school out of the police stats. :smoke: Oh well, that's another story or two. Gary
