the 280zx and 240sx are the same caliper. i think the maxima is just about the same as well.... as for cheapest, it depends on how you get it.. junkyard would be all the same price. you are going to need just stock pads and you are going to need the rear disc brake bracket from the '83-84 maxima. you will also have to jiri rig the e-brake cable. if i were you i'd get the 15/16 master cylinder from the 280zx.

15/16" is the diameter of the piston inside the m/c. BTW, the change of master cylinder is not "needed", it's just that with bigger wheel cylinders it couldn't hurt to push more fluid with a bigger m/c. The one in a stock 240Z is 7/8" (i.e. 14/16"). Minimal difference.
