Hey guys i was after some advice ive got a problem with my zed having a slight miss a light throttle , i have replaced all the ignition system(leads rotor botton, rottor cap new coil and new plugs) and the problem seems to go and then after about 80 miles it came back! i checked float levels of the carbies and as far as i can tell the 2 carbs are balanced , what else could it be?

did you replace the points?

maybe points or condenser on the dizzy? Does it always miss, or only when warm, cold, etc? Coil could get funky when warm?

I have electronic ignition and the coil is new , it does it all the time but is worse when it up to temperature

Did you mention replacing plug wires?

Have you removed one plug wire at a time to test each cylinder, to see if problem changes? Pulling a plug wire on a dead cylinder- problem should stay the same. Pulling a plug wire on a good cylinder problem gets worse.

Have you had your carbs or intake manifolds off recently? possible gasket leak, don't use old gaskets, don't over torque manifold nuts. (You probably know that though).

So your problem really didn't change after you made your tune-up changes? your miss is always there, or only after car is at operating temp.?

Good news i fixed it i hada slight blockage in the back carby and after stopping the car at the shops i went to drive off and she was only running on 4 cylinders. Turns out there was some $^!# in the flat bowl. After cleaning it out shes back to her best. Thanks for the help guys
