Posted August 25, 200420 yr comment_92615 Anyone who's done a full resto on their interior and in the process removed the pedals might have the answer i'm looking for...the throttle linkage mechanism goes through the firewall and is connected to the gas pedal with the usual ball/cup type of fitting... does anyone know if that ball at the top of the gas pedal arm is welded on? pressed on? threaded on?thanks,-e Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12997-gas-pedal-question/ Share on other sites
August 25, 200420 yr comment_92618 I had to go look. Mine is a 72 and it is pressed and peened. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12997-gas-pedal-question/#findComment-92618 Share on other sites
August 25, 200420 yr Author comment_92633 uh huh... that's what i think i noticed on my 73 too...the reason i ask is the guys at Top End Performance in North Hollywood sell a conversion to get rid of the linkage that connects the triple carb throttle to our gas pedal in favor of a cable & center-pull setup... the end that is supposed to attach to the gas pedal is threaded and apparently looks like it is just supposed to replace the ball at the top of the g.p....so much for that quick conversion, right?-e Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12997-gas-pedal-question/#findComment-92633 Share on other sites
