August 26, 200420 yr comment_92750 Let's see how the bidding compares to Burt's silver 71 Z just a week or so ago, which died at $22.1K . Car is in same area of the country, & has 10K more miles than Burt's car. August 26, 200420 yr comment_92796 Did they put Zbart in the engine bay of cars? I thought Zbart was an undercoating. Also, wasn't it determined that Zbart added to the deterioration of metal. That's a very nice Z.Vicky Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13003-clean-one-on-e-bay/?&page=2#findComment-92796 Share on other sites
August 26, 200420 yr comment_92799 Nice car, will probably end up stored and hardly ever driven, as it has such a low mileage. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13003-clean-one-on-e-bay/?&page=2#findComment-92799 Share on other sites

They applied it under the car, in the engine bay, they even drilled holes in the door jams, and other structural channels to inject the Zbart stuff into hidden areas of the chassis. the holes were then capped. My father-in-laws' original 72 240Z had the little Zbart sticker on the window. If memory serves me right, it was a pictire of a Knights Helmet. My old 79 310 had been Ziebarted. Had little yellow plugs here and there to seal the holes where they shot the goo in. Car was maroon and the little yellow plugs stood out quite noticably. August 26, 200420 yr comment_92820 Found using Google's image search ...Yep, that's what I remember on my 310. The coating seemed to work pretty good on that particular car. It lasted many a salty Nebraska winter and was no worse for wear when I sold it. BenInteresting to me Ben, shoot away. It would show what to look for. How do you think the Ziebart is doing for your car?
