Why is it the image gallery is full of images that are not Z related, (ok maybe full is an overstatment)

They arent even Japanese, or related to the S30 z in anyway.

If I wanted to see pictures of Volvos (yeah right) i'd go to a volvo site, not a z site.

I'm sure Mike doesnt like all the disc space that he has to pay for, and bandwith taken, for people to look at these photos of volvos. :sick:

I'm sure if people started posting stories bout their volvos and corvettes, they would politely be asked to take it to another forum, so why is it ok to post pictures of them.

Can the Photo moderaters be a bit more discerning? Shouldn't they be rejecting pictures like this?

I was sort of waiting for somthing like this. I go to races and shoot photos. One of my hobbies. Maybe there should be a way to put them in personal gallery directly, so they do not show on front page. Then no one has to look if they don't want to. I have some pics of Pirelli girls so please don't be offended.

I have to agree with the above quote as well.

Well now, there are good points on both sides of the fence though. Sure you don't have to click on them if you don't want, but surely not ALL pictures will be approved. Where is the line drawn? All these "unrelated" pictures ARE using disk space (like Mr.Camo said) and that is something that comes out of Mike's pocket.. This isn't meant to be a general purpose image gallery...is it? If you want to see ALMS pictures, I'm sure there are loads on the net.

On the other side of the coin, we are a club that OFTEN goes off-topic. That's expected when a lot of members spend a lot of time here. It's not a club JUST about Z's - occasionally a topic about something else can pop up, hell variety is the spice of life! Who cares if there are a couple of extra Volvo pictures? Some will appreciate it. Just like some will appreciate the classic Nissan Silvia

If it is an issue, I am sure that the "management" is quite capable of expressing an appropriate amount of concern over the isssue. Management is the only valid source for a complaint about this type of matter.

Dead against other photos without zed content.

Post them into your own gallery if you must,

HOWEVER,

This is a S-30 based organisation, not Volvo, Celica, Mini, [insert here anything I have left out].

If I want info on these them I go and visit the appropriate site...

I haven't seen any photos of non Z content that AREN'T in Member galleries. (except the Z beauties). Have you? I'm pretty sure that the moderators make sure that the pics are placed appropriately, at least I haven't noticed pics inthe wrong gallery.

ALL pictures will show up in the "Latest Images", and "Random Images" areas no matter where they are directed when uploaded. That shouldn't be too much of a burden to bear.

I may be guitly of posting a few photos that are not strictly Z related, but they were in some way related to the site. Zedrally does this mean that you want all of the images of K's and all Alan's images of the wonderful nissan museum removed? I think the size/number of the non Z photos is really small cf with everything Z related in the gallerys, surely you can work around the odd non Z photo?

K's are zed related. They share a common engine and many other parts.

Alan's posts have been zed related as well.

Where I get my back up is when I see cars which have NO common heritage being posted up....

How can you justify that?
