Why is it the image gallery is full of images that are not Z related, (ok maybe full is an overstatment)

They arent even Japanese, or related to the S30 z in anyway.

If I wanted to see pictures of Volvos (yeah right) i'd go to a volvo site, not a z site.

I'm sure Mike doesnt like all the disc space that he has to pay for, and bandwith taken, for people to look at these photos of volvos. :sick:

I'm sure if people started posting stories bout their volvos and corvettes, they would politely be asked to take it to another forum, so why is it ok to post pictures of them.

Can the Photo moderaters be a bit more discerning? Shouldn't they be rejecting pictures like this?

How is it such a problem to ignore the photos (Zed themed or otherwise) that a person doesn't like? If this is what passes as a problem for some people, your life must be really good.

I don't care for many of the pictures of celica's and such that have appeared recently, but I do like greyghosts racing themed pictures. I view what I like and I ignore the ones that don't interest me. It's simple to do and easy.

Firstly I dont have a problem, i just got thinking about it after seeing the lates upload on the hompage had nothing to do with s30 z's, Nissan, or Japanese cars. I noticed there was no information anywhere about what is acceptable to upload.

Just trying to get other peoples opinions on the matter.

Victor, have you been given any specific instruction on the matter? Ors is it Whaterver you like gets approved.

Silvias are Z related. For a start they are Nissan. Nissan tested the export market. Unfortunately they weren well recieved. 240K's are z related.

Girls are ok, but if you really want that go to a porn site. or keep it in the boobs thread.

I quite like Celicas. They are z related, in that they are Japanese and were the the competition in the market for the 240z at the time.

It's brand new racing cars that have absolutely noting to do with this club that got me thinking.

So it would be ok to post 5 megs of photos of my brotheres 77 RA28 celica restoration then.

I'm not having a go at you Greyghost, but, if you hobby was taking photos of racing car events, maybe there is a racing car forums that you could post them to, or a generic image galley website where you can upload anything, or maybe get your own personal webspace to put them up on, and post a thread linkting to that. like this guy does: http://files.franzonline.net/images/

My girlfriend hobby is collecting teddy bears, should i upload them to my gallery.

I Completely Agree With The Origional Post By Cammo. I Posted A Note To Mike Quite Some Time Ago About The Same Thing . He Replied That The Pictures Must Be Z Related , Thats A Joke . I Think I Will Send In Some Pics Of My Yahama , Boat , And Ford Truck And Travel Trailer And While I Am At It Some Of The Remodeling I Have Done On My House. You missed something. You need to view each picture individually that you want to delete. On the page, below the data about the pic is a place to "Check" a DELETE box and click a button to "SUBMIT" the deletion of that one picture.

A Celica is Z related? Thats a good one!

Did I mention I have many years of wildlife and vintage aircraft photos? Mostly WWII especially P51 Mustangs. You are lucky I didn't post those however I never intend to. I try to keep it all 4 wheels, a few clothed women and some funny pet pictures.

I post many labor intensive works of auto art. IMO. Almost all were photographed be me.

I for one have no desire to see your clapped out Toyotas, C110's, Silvia's, Holdens and other oddball stuff that you drive every day.

If it is real nice I will look at it.

Here is a few things that are on others galleries that I do not want to look at.

The first thing is I do not want to look at your damn rust pics!! I know where the Z's rust and I know what rust is thank you. If I see more rust I will scream. Get creative people!

I do not want to see your house, garage, camper or boat. I do not want to see your 350Z, p.u. trucks, motorcycles, or 4 wheel ATV's. I do not want to see your go kart, piper cub, model cars or more factory mag wheels. I do not want to see your spare tire, cracked dash, license plates or stereo. I do not care about your vacation photos. And I sure do not care to see your piece of crap car with a roo stuck in its grill!

You can put them in your gallery for all I care but I will be damned if I will click on it.

I think I speak for 90% of the population here when I say get over it mate. As far as I am aware no-one died and made you god between my last post and now. If you dont like a photo dont click on it (which is what you are saying), ignore the thumbnail. Its Mike's and the moderators call, if he thinks its getting out of control, which I dont think it is I am sure he will put a stop to it. I think more of an issue is the bunch of tools at other sites who load there photos here and link from them, they dontate nothing worthwhile to the site. I also find it interesting to compare the other japanese cars of the era, when you think what lovely looking cars other markets got.

Incidentally Greyghost, have you looked in your gallery lately, two pages of pictures in and I am still YET to see somethign vaguely resembling an S30. Ohh hang on there are some, after you wade through all this american rubbish, the odd ferarri, and a heap of totally irrelevant images. Good work mate, I think even my gallery has more S30 stuff and its not got much at all in it. You dont want to see it, yet there are pictures of bloody squirrels, cats mice etc in the gallery.

I think Carl has hit it, and it would have to be the only political quote worth keeping, "Don't ask, Don't Tell, Don't click!" Think of the gallery as a TV, if you see something you don't like, move on to the next thing. All of the programming come to you, and you can't stop it-but you don't have to watch. Don't click on it and whine:"I hate it when that happens!" You did it, kind of like hitting an 8" pothole in a 30' wide road with no traffic-only you are paying attention when you click on a picture.-this isn't like those automated aggravating never-ending pop-ups on the web!!

I don't appreciate many of the photographs that others choose to post(though I do appreciate those who keep their photographic posts relevant), but I am not the only one here. I want all of the members to enjoy themselves, apparently they do, and It didn't cost me anything to skip over the pictures I don't find interesting When there is a problem with it, Mike and the Moderators will step in and correct the balance. Until then, we can all be a little out of kilter, and enjoy and poke fun at everyone elses imbalances!!

ZKid: I may be wrong, but I believe that Greyghost was practicing that old fashioned "sarcasm" method of communication, since it was some of his phots that wre being complained about in the beginning of this thread.
