September 9, 200420 yr comment_94583 Not to hijack the thread, but is one brand's suspension bushing kit better than another? G Machine, Energy Suspension, etc. All are urethane bushings made equal? September 10, 200420 yr comment_94584 Stay with Energy Suspension. Better known and wider availability. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13118-new-bushings/#findComment-94584 Share on other sites
September 10, 200420 yr comment_94588 I followed matrias advice before he gave it, it is good! Less than $150 shipped! Several sellers putting them on ebay-shop it for the lowest total price. There are a couple of threads here covering installation-I did not read their advice before trying to remove the old bushings on my own and I should have. BambiKiller and Beandip have all of the 411 and have put it in the archives. There is a video of an installation available for sale from ZTherapy. There is also a very special tool you should buy, beg to borrow, or steal before you beat and heat the crap out of a doohickey called a spindle pin, and find it still won't budge! September 15, 200420 yr comment_95196 Hello everyone! I'd like to preface this post with a big 'shout-out' and thanks to the illustrious admin of this beloved site, without whom this discussion wouldn't even be possible. I think we should each take a few moments each day to turn our thoughts to the guy behind the curtain as they say, the one who makes it happen, the MAN WITH THE PLAN - of course I'm referring to Mike - the PHP wizard of classiczcars.com. Again thanks Mike for making this all happen for us members and the thousands of guests whose lives are geared up a notch each time they visit this place that some of us may even call home. It looks like Luke is in Oz. Any of you guys there want to give him a hand? Is there another bushing manufacturer there or do you guys also use Energy Suspension? I know there are some manufacturers there that we don't have in the US (such as King Springs - which I need for my 210 btw...) If you were in the US I'd also suggest suspension.com. They're now offering bushing+ball joint+tie rod end packages that could be a good deal. I haven't compared the total to VB.Michael Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13118-new-bushings/#findComment-95196 Share on other sites
September 15, 200420 yr comment_95198 There are planty of local urethane/nolathane suppliers locally, but none have such a pre-packaged kit.I chose to use rubber for my car anyhow, in the rear so far at least. September 15, 200420 yr comment_95260 Luke,The only advise I can throw your way is, be sure that the new urethane bushings are well lubed when installed. Use only the provided lube! The lube is some sticky s_ _t and seems to get on everything when working with it, but be patient and apply it to all areas of the bushings that will see movement............otherwise you could end up with a great handling car that squeaks like hell!!!
