September 6, 200420 yr comment_94091 No, it's the ol' fashioned white cap. But I filled that one up, and checked the light. Light went off. Then I went to top off the brake cylinders. Light still off. Yeah, now that you mention it, that is creepy...I suspect one of two things. If it is that relay that I was talking about, then it just managed to "unlatch" and you'll see the problem again. That happened to me too. A few weeks ago, the light stuck on, but then went off and acted fine for a couple weeks. Now it won't go off. If it had something to do with the Master Cylinder caps, then your messing around with them, and near the clutch has caused something to connect that was stuck open or something. Maybe it was the caps, and you solved your problem by a process of knocking them around a bit  . Interesting to see if your problem comes back. Let us know. September 7, 200420 yr Author comment_94143 DUN DUN DUNNN! Light came off this morning, then as I was driving, the lil' sucker came right back on. Sigh... I'll check the fluid again when I get off work today, I think I may have a faulty driver's side caliper leaking fluid. Edit: I'm just as dumb as a brick. It must be because I've been doing 5 things at once on a constant basis for the past few weeks. I forgot this morning...I was driving it to the paint shop!! Ha ha, I won't see it for at least a week!! Guess I won't be checking it today. September 8, 200420 yr comment_94315 Well, I get to retract my thoughts here as well. I went out and checked the brake fluid this morning, mostly because it's a little unnerving riding around with that light on all the time. Well, the front MC reservoir looked a little low, so I topped it off. And the light went off! So, even though the fluid level was "between the lines", the low fluid sensor turned on the light. I guess it's good to know when it is starting to get a bit low, before it actually gets below the "empty" line, but it wasn't THAT low. Anyway, so much for relays and parking brake switches. September 9, 200420 yr comment_94414 My 1978 has that damn sensor in the master cylinder when the fluid level or pressure is too low. Fixed that and it's off now Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13138-ebrake-light/?&page=2#findComment-94414 Share on other sites
September 9, 200420 yr comment_94454 As far as I know, it has nothing to do with pressure. The only thing those caps monitor is fluid level. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13138-ebrake-light/?&page=2#findComment-94454 Share on other sites
