Is it possible to order a new bell housing for my 4 speed? Does anyone know of a place that they might carry it? This is really just for cosmetic reasons so that when I put in my engine in the bell housing will look new as well.

Just pull it, get it bead blasted and then coat it with a clear coat. It will look great. A new one will cost more

How deep of a scratch can the bead blasting take out? Not a bad idea.

10 minutes with some Marine Clean, warm water, and a brush.

30 minutes with a roll of tape, a good home media blaster, and 30lbs of crushed walnut shells.

5 minutes wiping down with a pint of laquer thinner and 3 clean rags.
