Posted September 10, 200420 yr comment_94597 OK, everyone...Sorry to rehash, but I couldn't get a great answer after searching the forums.I am upgrading my 32-year old suspension components and really like the feedback and reports I have seen on this site and others about Tokico products. The Z I am restoring will be used as weekend fun driving and hopefully SCCA rally and Solo racing. I have heard Tokico HP is equivalent to the "3" setting of the Illumina, but that's not a good frame of reference for me since I haven't experienced either one...I assume both are a substantial upgrade from the worn out struts I have!Unless I plan on daily driving the car, it seems that the adjustability is not necessary.Opinions? Thanks in advance,X Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13201-tokico-hp-or-illumina/ Share on other sites
September 10, 200420 yr comment_94598 You MAY want different settings on different circuits that you MAY race on. Not every circuit configuration demands the same suspension settings for optimum performance. That is why race cars change shocks, springs and suspension settings at every track they race on.JMO Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13201-tokico-hp-or-illumina/#findComment-94598 Share on other sites
September 10, 200420 yr comment_94601 You have a very valid point, Carl. That is why I am going to go with the Illumina strut. You can adjust the setting in seconds. My car will probably not see a circut track, but atleast I can run around town with some good cornering and lower center of gravity, plus it will make the car look really mean. :devious: (the little things) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13201-tokico-hp-or-illumina/#findComment-94601 Share on other sites
