Are you able to post the compliance date of your car (as seen on the data plate inside the engine bay).

I own RHD#1282 and am curious to know what month in 71 your car was complianced. Are you also able to post the original L24 engine number?

The Compliance plate - 7/71 00945

The Black and Silver Datsun Plate - 00945

Engine No. - 042097

However on my firewall is engraved HS30 01331.

My current L24 engine no. is - L24-046864

Thanks for posting the info as requested. It is a little confusing I must admit and sounds like something is strange with your car. It cannot have two numbers, and either the firewall or the b/w Datsun plate have been changed out with another car.

#945 would have been complianced in 07/71

#1331 probably in 10/71 (based on the guess on my car)

The suspension is in and it is unbelievably good! The old shocks were obviously crap, so when I inserted these Tokicos...... ooh yeah, I am not disappointed. I have them set on 3, and they feel so nice on the road. Here are some pics. By the way guys, thanks for all your help over these past 2 months, and without this forum I would be nowhere.
