Mike Posted April 11, 2002 Share #1 Posted April 11, 2002 Okay, I've always wanted to ask this. What do you LISTEN to when driving your Z?I am speaking of a particular band, a particular genre (pop, rock, et), a particular song? What? For me, it all depends on my mood. If I want to take a leisurely drive to the Oregon coast, I'll pop in some Classical music. However, if I want to put my foot down and drive with white knuckles the whole way... I'll put in something like Static X or Rob Zombie. :eek:What about you? 2ManyZs Posted April 11, 2002 Share #2 Posted April 11, 2002 Well, for me it's classic rock no matter if I'm driving or working in the garage. Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Bob Segar, 38 Special, anything from the 70's and 80's. Takes me back to when I was young and having fun, and brings back a few not so good memories too. Royce Posted April 11, 2002 Share #6 Posted April 11, 2002 Since my Z only has the stock AM radio I would have to say L6 by Nissan. But if I had tunes it would be "kashmir" by Led Zepplin. Best played while flying down a long stretch of road at night! Otherwise any guitar based rock from Lynard Skynard to Dream Theater Yes, I had long hair and played guitar in a band for many years in my younger days. I'll tell you what, nothing worse then swapping out a Z diff and getting your hair stuck in a creaper wheel and then ending up with gear oil in your hair. I just had a flashback!!!Have fun! kmack Posted April 12, 2002 Share #7 Posted April 12, 2002 Well, I have yet to ever really drive me Z, but for general driving, it also depends on the mood.I drive fast 99% of the time, the other 1% my wife is with me! If it's somewhat laid back, fast driving then it's anything from AC/DC. LOUD!If it's really spirited, fast driving, then White (Rob) Zombie, Ministry, Korn, etc. again, really loud. And my all-time favorite driving song, "I can't Drive 55" by Sammy Hagar.

jpac Posted April 12, 2002 Share #9 Posted April 12, 2002 Driving music usally tends to be something hard and loud. On the lines of Social Distortion, Mettallica, Rush to name a few.Jeff
Si|v3r72 Posted April 12, 2002 Share #10 Posted April 12, 2002 I have strange listening habits - my taste constantly changes - I find a new band I like and listen to them until I wear them out (currently Linkin Park), then I ALWAYS revert back to my staple, my baseline, my god - Frank Zappa. I have a 12 cd-changer in my Z and I'm guessing 8 out of the 12 cd's in there are Frank .
Akir-ra Posted April 13, 2002 Share #11 Posted April 13, 2002 Here's the skinny Early mornings/Late nights = Old school R&B for me anything from the '70s Rush hour/hangin' with the fellas = Hip Hop (and it don't stop) But I agree that the best sound is from that sweet L28 Ak
Zvoiture Posted April 20, 2002 Share #12 Posted April 20, 2002 No stereo. Just K&N, Header, and Bosal. At about 4r's it makes such a sweet note.steve77
