Oh man, when I saw this auction I absolutely fell in love. This Bluebird is rediculously perfect. Let me explain, it is 920 gold which is an awesome color( Is that the color or did the Bluebird/510 line have a different color?), it is 00033!!!, it has 30k on the OD!!!, and it is a Bluebird. If everything is true than this car is a gem because you don't see a car in this good of shape and on this side of the pond much if ever. I would love to learn more about this car. How it got here? Is it original paint? The winner/owner will be very lucky. I wonder how high the price will go? Any guesses? My guess is 14.5K, and it would be worth every penny if it is in as original condition as the pictures and seller make it out to be.

Troy from "Too Intense" put in a bid. I think I recognize Les Canaday there also. Who is plumprandy? It is going to be hard for me to believe the mileage, but it IS possible. Looks like a super nice car.

You're right - that's gorgeous! Maybe you can ask the seller about its history? I doubt it was recently imported as these cars I can imagine would be worth more in Japan than America. Clearly a restoration or a low-mileage car. The paint looks in great nick from the photos!!

I emailed the seller about when and where it was shipped to and fro, and what all is original or restored. Hopefully the seller emails me and we can get some answers. Have you seen my friend's Bluebird in my gallery? He has a really nice one too. I will talk to you guys later.

plumprandy has retracted his bid because he couldn't get in contact with the seller. The high bid is $6500 as of 5:45am PST which is under the reserve. Interesting!

They've been alternately tearing this car up, then, lusting for it on the Bluebird list. Either way, this auction has been an event to the crowd. Fun to watch.

p.s. At the time the pictures were taken of the Mustard colored Bluebird, it had a different grill and a few other different pieces than how it sits now.

p.p.s. Victor, check out the light to illuminate the license plate. It is made by everwing like you mentioned about the fog lights.

I have actually seen this car. It was at last years Mossy Nissan Show in Oceanside CA. It was parked on the street and wasn't part of the show. I have some pictures of on my computer that I took that day. The pictures I have show a different grille and some funky decals on the rear panel which have been changed and removed. The car did appear to be very clean. It seems that plumprandy is the high bidder at $6600 now (1:47pm PST). Seems to me that he originally over bid, retracted that bid, and then came back in at the lower bid. Can one do that? Things like that make me leary about bidding on ebay especially when it comes to things in that price range. Speaking of price range, if everything stated in the ad IS true, what would be the value of a low numbered, low mileage, close to original Bluebird? Was the L18 even available in 1971?

I am not sure, but my friend that owns a 1800sss said that 8-10k seems reasonable, but 11k is too much. Then again, if everything is original and not restored I would think it would be worth much more. Stephen, I really have no clue how much it would be worth then. I sure do like it though. Hehehe, you could add to your collection of classic Nissan's. Is the color 920 gold?

Under bid history it says PlumpRandy retracted his bid of $11.5K because he couldn't contact the seller. Not a bad explanation if you needed additional info. I assume he finally made contact and then decided to rebid, because you can't tell how much his current maximum bid is because of the automatic bid feature (that is, until someone outbids his max).
