Posted September 17, 200420 yr comment_95532 Hey, im in the process of replaceing my center consol stuff. And my original snap on boot cover is all torn. I got a new one that has some EL in it. looks great...but i cant seem to figure out how to connect it. Someone said something about "clips". Is that all i need? September 17, 200420 yr comment_95541 The shift boot is held on by 6 or 8 metal clips. Check on the bottom of your console they may still be there. Mine were. Some had fallen down onto the tranny tunnel. I think the shifter is 8mm but I'm not sure. It doesnt quite fit..leaves a bit of space at teh top..but im gonna fix that eventually. I really need a digi-cam so i can start posting pix of my process'es.. I have a lot of experiance with them for movie prop making, easy to use. I already have some installed onboard..not gonna go the RICE route though (thank god) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13298-shift-boot-and-shifter-knob/#findComment-95550 Share on other sites
