Marty: Great to here from another Z owner, and local at that! Williams Bay is located on Lake Geneva, Wi. The Z is a 73`. I am not asking anybody to do the work, just give me info, of what might possibly be the problem/s. Ignition switch is non op. Got a new elec unit for the back part of the switch, that`s not the problem. I short the starter, engine turns over, will not start. No spark to the plugs, got a new coil, still no start. If you ever get up this way, maybe you could stop by and take a look. The car has zero rust, original paint, It`ll be great when it runs and gets repainted, I can`t wait. Regards, Mike. P.S. If you want to call, the Ph. # 1-262-245-1377, cell # 1-262-949-9544, reverse the charges, or call collect.

Mike,

Lake Geneva is probably an hour to hour and a half away. Unfortunately, I never get up into that area.

I would suggest you post again with a different subject to attract more attention. Maybe "Starting Problems". You would be amazed at the knowledge that can be obtained from the Z guru's on this site. You should describe the problem with as much detail as you possibly can. Describe what you have done to trouble shoot to this point.

Has this car been sitting for an extended period of time?

I am not aware of any Z Specialty shops in WI. If you have access to a trailer, I have a good shop in DesPlaines, IL that I highly recommend.

Marty
