Anybody been following the NOS "D" hubcaps that have been showing up on e-bay one by one? Somebody got the bright idea to sell them individually instead of as a set, and they are bringing $300-$400 apiece! Glad I already have a set. This hobby is going nuts!

And I've seen several others lately go in the same price range...

Its about supply and demand....and need it right now.

NOS is limited.....I had a set of radio knobs I found in a box listed for about 30 minutes before they sold for $35 BUYNOW....I priced them too cheap I guess....maybe try one at a time next time I have em :surprised

Sometimes it's just luck. I was working with a guy on an NOS center console he had, and he mentioned other items he was going to get rid of too, including 4 NOS D hubcaps, 4 original unused 4.5 inch wheels, and an NOS choke with hand throttle assembly. He sold them to me as a package for "a good price". I feel REALLY lucky now!

Given what these have sold for now, no one that has any will sell for less...a year ago good or NOS D sets of 4 were still $400-$500.

I see the results of the first two auctions, but Ben had a third cap for sale. Does anyone know what he got for the third cap? Did the same guy buy it too? There used to be a Japanese guy in Canada who had brand new stuff. About a year ago he was getting $300 for a new hubcap. I'm with Mark; deal privately whenever possible. I bought the AM radio from your guy, Mark. Chloe turned me on to him. Frankly, I think the world has figured out these cars are finally worth something and we will see the prices of choice pieces soar in the future.
