surfin the web and found an ad in canada(4 hr drive) for a 72/240 fully restored,no rust,solid frame,appraised for $20 g's, asking $10 g"s ($7840 U S). my heart was pumpin! fone # and find out it's 73/240(ok)triple webbers(better)headers,3rd owner,restored 9 yrs ago, dash cap,undercaoting and sunroof -ugh- big let down. i was thinking or drivng up to look at it just to get an idea of what $10,000 get u but sunroof not what i want.i was advised earlier by fellow members not to compromise and stick to my guns,i'll regret it later. what are zed enthusiest thoughts on sunroofs. would u buy a first generation z with one?

I would NEVER, EVER buy a classic car with a sunroof that wasn't part of the car when it rolled out the factory doors. And even then, I'd think really, really hard before shelling out money.

Sunroofs are terrific for other cars-To put one in a Z is punishable by sacrifice of the car to the rust god. Which just to remind everyone, is a slow and painfull death.
