Posted September 27, 200420 yr comment_96573 Just wanted to get some opinions....The front driver's side seat bracket, the piece that the seat bolts to, and its welded to the chassis, is rusty and has been compromised.I was wondering if anyone knew if someone made replacements for the bracket, and/or if anyone has just welded a piece of sheet metal over it to reinforce it, or ???I have access to a buddy who can weld for me, but I don't have access to him removing a bracket off of a donar car. Thanks for any replies in advance! September 27, 200420 yr comment_96576 I have a full set on order form Charley Osborne at Zedd Findings, They are not listed on the Web site, but he has them. You could cut out the rust and weld a patch panel in-but I want the area to be right!http://www.datsunzparts.com/start.htmWill Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13431-need-to-replace-front-drivers-seat-floor-bracket/#findComment-96576 Share on other sites
September 27, 200420 yr comment_96585 I have seen a Z recently where someone just took some angle iron and bolted it to the remains of the seat mount then drilled holes for the seat to attach. This was the owner's way to "fix" the fact that the holes were ripped/torn out. Talk about cheap...but it's doing the trick I suppose...just as long as he's not in a bad accident with it as it may or may not withstand that kind of force. October 5, 200420 yr Author comment_97386 Thanks 26th, that's exactly what I'm looking for; not exactly stock (actually looks stronger) and not just 'cut out' of another rig; I'll be ordering one and I'll post pictures on how it looks afterwards. Thanks!!!!!Dawg Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13431-need-to-replace-front-drivers-seat-floor-bracket/#findComment-97386 Share on other sites
