He has been trying to sell that one for about 10 months on ozdat and a couple of other forums. Price was about $8500 to start with, but did have some flash wheels on it at one stage.

It hasnt had a RWC for a while either, so you would want to have a good look at it. But $4000 seems to be reasonable if it's in as good condition as the pics indicate and you dont mind the colour (VT SS??)

I saw that car before the paint, and I would personally steer well clear, have also seen it being driven and he gives it a fair old flogging. Also the candy apple paint job is not that crash hot close up, differs at panel joints where I assume he sprayed laying down off the car.

I went and saw it on saturday.

Im not a fan of the paint, but the engine is nice, and the actuall rust repairs were done properly, not like the other zeds i have looked out. the panels were cut and welded, and then bondo-d over. theres a pic around with the primer, so i checked all the spots. no signs of the rust comming back. Took it for a drive and must admit the L28 pulls hard. and the new suspension makes it a good ride for the car, but still a bit tight for my liking.

Not a big fan of the colour but bought cheap this car could be fun. I have a new category for cars like this one and this car fits it nicely. Sounds like the sort of car that could be taken to with a grinder without too much love lost. This car would look nice in another colour to start with and seeing it has an L28 and goes ok I would'nt feel so bad about chopping away those guards to add some old school flares and BRE rear spoiler, fill those arches with some serious meat and dump it on it's arse! Now that would be one killer looking Z!

I don't think this guy would mind seeing the car has already been modified from original, ie the colour and the rear end. Colour is always a personal preference and to make proper use of mounted flares you do need to do some cutting. This being the reality of it I just could'nt bring myself to chop away at a good 240 as well as the cash you'd have to splash out.

Seeing a couple of the threads say this car goes well then half your works already done.

HMMmmmm,

I'm a little suspicious about this one.

Judging by the photo, it LOOKS about as good as my '74 260 Z which is as original as I can make it.

It's the low, low, low price that makes me a bit sus. I wouldn't take anything less than 13K for my "Precious".

Rick.
