Coolest cars of all time...

Did anyone else here post any information on Automobile Magazine's list of "The 100 coolest cars of all time"?

I only ask be cause the 240Z made the list... at number 55. That is in the bottom half, and way below their opinon of the 63 Corvette and 911, but it did beat out the "Dukes of Hazzard's General Lee" 68 Charger :cheeky:

I am not sure I would agree with the list, but at least they agree that the Z is "cool"

Well of course they are Vicky, we all own one right? In my book the only other car I lust after is a 427 Cobra.........but my 240Z definitely fulfills my desire for road fun and at a lot less impact on my pocket book!!!

Hey Vicky, this last weekend, while I was putting fuel in my Z for a fun run, I hear this beautiful deep lumpy sound approaching. I turn to see this super clean and well done Shelby GT500 Mustang pulling into fuel up. As he came up the drive you could see a beautiful set of chrome headers curving down under the car and the car was painted in a red I have never seen. He had the original style GT500 wheels with some serious looking tires. It was absolutely in perfect condition. I was drooling. WOW!!!

Nice!! I bet he was intimidated by your Z. You ever wonder if "those" types of car guys drool over our little Z cars? Do you think they say "Wow, listen to the sound of that inline 6". Probably not, but it would be nice. Most of the motor heads I know have a deep respect for the Z but not to many will tell you to your face. Oh well, their loss.

Oh yes Stephen, they are not forgotten. They are parked in the back of my dream garage next to my Daytona Charger with the massive wing on the back.......remember those and the funky colors they came in?

Hey Vicky, a guy about 2 blocks from me has the Superbird version of that car. It just makes you stop in your tracks. The "Bird" is that funky orange color and he also has a slime green Cuda.

My dream car......Nissan Skyline R34GTR VSpecII.....

OK, I do confess to a weakness for circa '70 Mopars. Can't afford a Hemi Cuda or Challenger, or AAR Cuda or Challenger T/A, but maybe one day I'll build a hot pink or lime green Duster or Demon 340 for roadracing. Yeah, that'd be sooo coooool...
