Tripple Webbers

Does anyone have the tripple webber configurations on their car? If not, how about the double? or a 4 barrel? I'm looking at different carb options and wondering which wone would work better with a stage 2 cam.

If you are new to the site, welcome! Your question has been asked more times than Carter has pills. Search the achives on this site and you will be amazed at the amount of info available to you. There are alot of technically experienced people here, so it's best to be as specific as possible with your questions. Your question is a bit too general.....too many variables are unknown. Stage 2 meaning ~260/.460"? Stock carbs should work fine, actually, on a 2.4 liter anyway. Word is the dual downdraft Webers are nothing special, no better than the stock carbs. Triple deuces, now you're talkin! Much better at making high-rpm power.

Well, on Zcarparts.com it said that the cam would work well with the tripple carb... depends i spose... i dont want a hoppin hot-rod, i just want a street rod kinda feel. Around 200hp, and a tight, go-kart feel.

200hp? I wouldn't bother with the L24, get a flat-top piston L28 ('81?+ non-turbo), put an N42 or N47 head on it from a dished-piston motor (or shaved P79 or P90), mild cam, and you're about there.

:beard: The best way to use the the carbs are with the L28 block. If it is for street use, use the dish pistons. If it is going to be a track car, then use flat top pistons in it. I am running a L28 (dish) block with a E-31 head on the street with mild track time. We are now building a engine for the track. It will be a 40 over L28 block with forged pistons (14:1), the head will be the E-31. The head has been ported and polished, big valves and big cam. the carb setup I have is the 45mm DCOE weber triples. I have been using this setup since I got the car. I love the sounds of them at full speed. Good Luck with your choice, Rich.
