October 6, 200420 yr comment_97522 First, open the tail light covers and check that:1. the Parking Light element in the bulb is not broken / burnt out.2. you are in fact, getting power to the bulb. Then we can start giving you all sorts of suggestions, like how to remove all of the wiring, changing your alternator and how to convert it to power steering.Enrique Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13545-taillightsemergency/#findComment-97522 Share on other sites

October 6, 200420 yr comment_97528 Is it just the tailights, or are all the running lights not working, ie side marker and front lower lights under the bumper? If its all the lights, it could be either the fuse (even though it looks ok, I've had the end cap loosen up and seperate inside , check for brown ooze around the cap) If it is all the lights, and you've replaced the fuse and still no go, its probably the swich on the steering column itself. I had both problems in the past. I took apart my column switch and fixed it myself.Good luck.Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13545-taillightsemergency/#findComment-97528 Share on other sites
October 6, 200420 yr comment_97530 Are you SURE the wiring is good? Make sure you check very carefully on the sockets as corrosion will also stop lights working.
