I just did something really stupid. :stupid:

In order to see how the door lock works I pushed the swivelling part on the door around. Now the bloody thing won't close and it's stuck in the wrong position. I understand that the "knob" on the swivelling bit must face the door with the bigger knob facing the ground. It doesn't now.

I've taken the door trim off to have a look but can't figure out what's wrong.

Anyone been silly enough to do this, or know how I might fix it??!?!

I can't close the door now!!!!!!

Yeah, you basically did what the door does when it catches. You should be able to just close the door, it won't close as such, but it'll turn the thingo back around.

Did it when I was playing with a window a regulator. :stupid:

If it doesn't work then something must be aligned incorrectly.

Good luck

First, just try to "open" the door by pulling up on the outside handle or out on the inner. If that doesn't solve it, FINISH the rotation of the "swiveling" part, to the position it would attain when the door is closed properly, and then "open" the door.

Trying to close the door with it as it is now will cause more problems.
