VB catalog details the slave is on the right, but MSA show it on the left(viewed looking forward).I don't want to order LHD parts here if they won't fit.Help anyone? :nervous: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13584-rhd-gearbox-differences-vs-lhd/ Share on other sites
October 11, 200420 yr comment_97857 My clutch slave cylinder was replaced with a new PBR unit, don't know if they are still available. Have you checked local availability? October 11, 200420 yr Author comment_97859 I haven't checked locally. The local Nissan dealer is as good as tits on a bull. He just looks up his old book and quotes moon prices as everything he gets in is from Japan. Is PBR a brand? October 11, 200420 yr comment_97861 240znz I am as certain as I can be that there is no difference LHD to RHD. My early LHD car also has the slave cylinder on the RH side of the bellhousing ( looking forward), and the master cylinders for my RHD and LHD cars are identical. Quite a bit of choice for master/slave cylinders on ebay too. hope it helps Andrew Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13584-rhd-gearbox-differences-vs-lhd/#findComment-97861 Share on other sites
October 12, 200420 yr comment_97934 PBR make a lot of brake and car hydraulic stuff in Australia and the US. So their products would be available from any general or specialist parts supplier. October 12, 200420 yr Author comment_97943 Sweet. Thanks guys. My resto will have new cylinders, just my preference really. For the extra piece of mind of new bits, I think its worth the premium.James Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13584-rhd-gearbox-differences-vs-lhd/#findComment-97943 Share on other sites
October 12, 200420 yr comment_97955 Yes you can safely go aftermarket on this part. My slave cylinder appears to be leaking so I'll pick up an aftermarket my friend assures me they will be just as good as a stock Nissan one and fairly cheap compared with one too.
