October 14, 200420 yr comment_98187 The "scissor" doors where the only option for the Lamborghinis' as these cars have one of the longest doors on modern automobiles. If the lambos had traditional doors and someone parked next to the car, you wouldn't be able to open the door. I watched a program on the history of lambos. The doors just happen to look cool but function was the main design. But yes, there's an engineering reason behind it (like the handbrake :tapemouth).
