well.. mine is gona be for waht ever the hell i want it to be for at that hour in time weather it is hauling another car... or im also hoping to rig it for rock climbing

I wasn't putting it down, I have a 2003 Dodge 1500 Quadcab for hauling stuff http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=10040&sort=1&cat=500&page=3 and people. I found out that I can't park it conveniently-I was just pointing out that a Hummer is bigger, and therefor has more of the same problem-in the city!

Throwing some mud and climbing rocks is a different story-but you can't do those on a city street!

well i live in a VERRY SMALL town in PA and im moving to a new house in town and its right off a main road so i can pull right beside my house to park it and any where im going is country but you had a good point

Im suprised there arnt many down there...yo have many toyota land cruisers i was thinking about geting one of them a few years ago and got a F-150 instead just a litle bit of price differnce haha..

Did you try those web sites that have lists of goverment vehicles for auction? We have an large military base here in Albuquerque that I checked on about a year ago. They had lots of trucks for sale but I don't remember any humvees.

Just my 2 cents... I go off road fairly often and Hummers / Humvees are too wide for the trails. Even my 4x4 Dakota is too large sometimes. You could buy a Jeep Wrangler or CJ and out fit with all the goodies; lockers front and rear, lift kit, big tires, body armour, winch... and it would be better on the trails than a Hummer for a lot less money. But I do admit, Hummers are cool.

there is a company that regualrly sells them<military units> in carolina I believe they bring them up to street legal status and add other goodies to make them more friendly, I looked into for a bit then I drove one for a while and was impressed with what it could do but not for the lack of turning ability, ride, harsh interior, and general lack of use-ability in the city , if you want one still after driving one for a bit get an early year model< if you are getting a non-military unit> because they have numerous military features that were removed on later non military production years, good luck great vehicle just too much for me

well my gret uncle owns a junk yard in WV with bout 5,000 cars and a humvee just happens to be one of them... and im pretty sure its not going any where its kinds shot up im pretty sure also so im saving up some money and hopefully if things work buying it... and I live in the country as i said earlyer trails are made HUGE...some are ust giant feilds of mud hahaha.... and if anyone lives near WV I can give u directions to that junk yard :nervous:
