I don't know how BMW owners refer to their cars but I refer to them as Big Money Wasted . MikeW's find does show a Nissan website, hmmm. Maybe Nissan does hold some kind of rights to the letter. If you look at alot of products for Z cars that have the "Z" in the advertisement, it normally as the circle with the r to the right of the Z, Meaning registered trademark, no?

Nissan would have paid BIG money for www.z.com... All single-letter domains are owned by the IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) for "stability" purposes. Four of them are not, however. Z, Q, X and something else. Why? Because they were registered before the IANA got to them.

Thanks Alfa for your clarification. So no other car company can produce a vehicle and call it a "Z". They just can't have a badge with "Z" alone on their car right?

Ah, thanks for the information. I hadn't noticed X (PayPal) and Q (Qwest). I didn't find the other so maybe it's just 3.
