Ebay: Help, what is this?

It seems pretty obvious the person trying to sell these items has no clue about Z cars!!! Come on, a 1960s Z car! There is no such item on an early U.S. 240Z. I guess you have to give them credit for trying. Correct me if I'm wrong but, the only interior light in the early Z cars is a dome light (excluding the instrumentation lights and glove box light. I think the person is full of dodo and is only trying to make a buck off of some poor fool...............Amen!!!

I'm sitting here staring at those parts and for the life of me I can't even tell. Looks like something you find on the side of the road after a car accident. Maybe off the 1965 220Z.......cha...........rrrright.

My take on the items, is that they are rain shields for lights where the main body of the light is inset into the panel. The top part of which might have water drip on it.

Door speaker mounting kits a lot of times come with a rain shield.

Could it be that these are the rain shields for the courtesy lights in the hatch of a later year Z, such as the 280ZX?

Someone asked the seller aboutthese parts and he replied, claiming they are from a 72 240Z. I have never seeen them on any of the 240Z's that I've owned or worked on.

They look slightly similar to the hinge socks (which would be rubber, not plastic) for the hatch hinges, but with such a crappy picture, it is impossible to be sure.

I think the seller is clueless also.

He's also selling a set of hood hinges fitting 69 thru 80"s Z Car

I looked at these for quite awhile and noticed no one was bidding. I actually went out and looked at my tailights, from the inside of car, and couldn't figure why anyone would put these on to make the bulbs even harder to change.

they go over the tail light inside portion , I know what they were because one of my dad's old mopars had them , just as Enrique said they were used as shield from debris in the trunk or from people getting thing in and out of the trunk , ususally they are open in the bottom so that water or other things don't catch in there, not sure where those he is selling are from but as we all know its no early z, :)
