An Offer on my Z

That Ozzy Guy

Recommended Posts

I've got an offer on my car and the guy seems really interested. To be honest, it came out of the blue and got me thinking about selling it.

Please line up to bash me... :stupid:

Don't know why I'm posting this but if anyone can help me get over these thoughts it would be you guys. She's running really well right now and I've just spent over a grand on new rocker covers, some plumbing and a catch can. I've also saved up some cash for the extractors I've been meaning to get but now I'm not so sure.

Aargh. :ermm:

George,

I don't believe I am ready this. Are you sure this thread shouldn't be in the Funnybone forum. Is this another one of your practical jokes!!

If it is correct then I can only assume that you have been taking some form of mind altering substance that is screwing up your reasoning and logic.

Don't do it. Take a deep breath and think again. As Zedrally said, you will regret it!! How could you cope without a Z.

After I sold my first Zed, I thought I did the right thing, you know I needed the money and all. Then for every day after that I missed it so bad. Everytime I got into a car, I missed that old car smell.... That oil and fuel fragrance, the things that make you proud of what your driving. The Datsun Z car is "A piece of Automotive History" as my Dad would say, and the only way to replace it was....... with another. I only found out about it after seeing Alan at the Z car workshop in Brisbane. He told me of a lady that might sell one of the two Z's she had. And as the story goes, I was lucky enough to replace the missing member in my family.

George,

No matter what you replace it with it just wont be the same. I sold a really good z that I had back in 1999 and bought a new WRX thinking that it was a giant step up. In reality the WRX was probably a much 'better' car in every measureable respect, but it just doesnt have the character that a Z does and I dont think you'll find anything else that does.

Driving your Z is great every time you do it, its not a mass produced car like every one else has and nowadays no two are the same.

I learned the leeson the hard way, sold the WRX and bought another Z earlier this year. So now I gotta start from the very beginning again and it'll be a long time before I drive my car yet. I dont like to think about how much money I've spent in the process either.

there is an easy way to solve the problem, George get your favorite c/d or tape , about 11pm or midnight or so go out for a nice spin throught the country or in town which ever you enjoy most , I find myself doing that as often as possible with my new one, it brings back such fond memeories and build new ones , but the memories that I recall are of a 240z I sold and have regreted it for a long time, store it or do what ever but I would never sell mine , LOL either one , funny my brother's 260 was in an accident a while back and they totaled it but he will never sell it , same reason, the great late cool night drive and the looks of envey from those who had z's and sold them and those who never had the pleasure of ownershipof one :)
