I think we talked about how that list is incomplete in another thread. No mention of 510 blue which is the color of my 78 or orange for the 260./280 or yellow for the ZZap cars or black for the BPE etc.

Here's my latest: http://datsunprojects.org/zpaintcodes/

I was working on adding international lists (and ZG codes etc) but haven't had time to do it. Maybe some day.

Sblake - if you've got info I'm missing let me know. THere was a thread awhile back about orange 280Zs but I thought we decided that they were actually 110 Red. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12558&highlight=orange+280Z

You don't have to take another pic. It's hard to read but I believe you ;) I wonder if that was only used for the last year of the 280Z's. Carl Beck told me that when he assembled the list he didn't have access to the '77 and '78 FSM's or parts catalogs, which may explain why this color and 110 aren't on the list, and maybe why he doens't have the Zap yellow or black either. I guess there could be others out there that aren't on the list. I don't have access to any of those catalogs so all of my info is coming from zhome and contributions from people like you. Thanks. I'll go ahead and add the pic and color to the gallery if you don't object.

Fell free to use the picture. The FSM doesn't list any paint codes nor does the 77 dealer brochure I have. I've seen other 77 and 78 cars with this color (510). I've been searching for more info on this but so far have come up empty.

BTW the color is called 'Sky Blue Metallic'

My first Z  , was a '78 and it was the same color as Stephens. At the time (1984) it seemed every Z I saw was that color blue. I also worked with someone who had the exact same color on her 78. FWIW
