Shopping in Seattle??

Recommended Posts

I have a mate who is leaving tomorrow for the US for a few weeks. He is going to Seattle. I am getting him to grab me some springs for the Z while he is over there. Is there somewhere in Seattle that he can buy them from?

I know he has a hire car over there, but don't know exactly where he is staying yet. I want to be able to tell him where to go for the parts, to save him hunting around an unknown city.

Thanks

Scott

Make it easy for him, order what ever you want, and have it shipped to his hotel, if he is going to be there a coule of weeks, it should be easy for both of you! You might have to work out the payment details(some vendors will not ship to addresses other than the billing address), see if a member in the area will check the parts for you, to be sure any problems don't cross the pond before being found.

A lot of places won't accept credit cards from over seas, so Since he is there, that problem is fixed. He could buy them, and get them back. How far away are Zspecialities? Looks from their website that they sell spares more than afternarket gear. It that true?

Thanks

Scott

SpeedyBlue the link below is from the Z Club of Washington State. Just copy and paste the link. I lived in the Everett area for 8 yeas and visited both shops great people. The two Z shop are 30 miles apart in the Everett area. One is the Z Specialties the other is Z Sport Inc. Also If your bud is willing to drive into Canada Modern Moter Sports is located in Vancouver BC. Only 2 hours away from Everett Wa.

Hi SB:

I would check with both Zspecialties and Zsport to see if they have the springs you are looking for in stock. I'm sure either shop can get the parts you are looking for, but they may have to order them since I imagine it simply doesn't pay to keep those types of parts in stock around here. So if your buddy is only in town for a short time, you may be out of luck without some sort of pre-ordering.

That said, I haven't been to either shop for a couple of years, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Both shops are north of seattle proper -- 25 to 30 miles away from city center.

Let me know if you need more local info.

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks for the info guys. Haven't heard from him yet, but too suprised. Probably sleeping/jetlagged. He is there for about 6 weeks, plus a bit extra to look around and have a holiday (work trip). Don't know his plans really, just that he also wants to pick up some parts for his car also. (A neat turbo Ford Laser) Don't worry, we all questioned his choice of cars many times also. :)
