November 13, 200420 yr comment_101838 for power, the 6-1 provides marginally better high end power, while the 6-2-1 provides a better midrange.... as far as ease of installation goes i have no idea... November 13, 200420 yr comment_101844 Installation would be the same on either one. I would suggest you install the headers (use high temp copper permatex sealant on the gasket) then take it to a muffler shop and have them build you a custom 2-3 inch exhaust (your choice on exhaust diameter). It will save you a lot of headache, you will only pay about $50 bucks more, and it will look 100 times better than the pre-bent kits.$0.02 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13993-headers-6-to-1-or-6-to-2-to-1/#findComment-101844 Share on other sites
November 14, 200420 yr comment_101868 I second the motion on the four piece pre bent kit.the one that I installed on my 70' had to be welded cause the clamps kept scraping the ground after I installed my new eibach pro-rate springs. We took off the clamps and welded the whole thing in place. would have been better off goin to the shop and having them make one with a lot less parts to it. costs a little more but more worth it. mine is 2 1/2" pipe with a 6 into 1 header.Dave.
