Posted November 14, 200420 yr comment_101865 Hey all I am looking at a set of wheels and they are 4 on 4.5 and the size is 15x6 with a +10 offset. Any ideal how these might look and if would have any fitment issues? If anyone has anything similar to this size what tire might I be able to get on it without rubbing? I was thinking a 205/60 or maybe a 215 /55 . Wasn't sure. Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13997-wheel-offset-and-size/ Share on other sites
November 14, 200420 yr comment_101869 stay as close to a 0 degree offset as possible. it's just to much stress on old parts to try and run a 10 degree offset and the chance of rubbing is way to high. I run a 205X40R16 and it fits perfect all the way around. I could go with a 205 50 16 to bring my speedometer back to the way its supposed to be but right now I'm broke.Good luck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/13997-wheel-offset-and-size/#findComment-101869 Share on other sites
November 14, 200420 yr comment_101895 up to about a 7.5in rim or maybe even 8in rim, u can run zero offset no problem also depending on ur tire size. so lets say a 7in rim with about 215s would fit with no issuesremember, the higher the offset number such as a positive offset, the further out the mounting point is ( beign closer to the outside of the wheel) and the lower the offset # such as a negative offset, the further back the mounting point. ( being closer to the back side of the wheel) oh, and your wheels should fit fine. You should probably go with the 205 since u have a 6 inch rim. i was running a 16x7 0 offset with 225/60. too wide of a tire for my rim.
