Title says it all, I've got a stock '74 260 with flattops that just took a dump on me, so it's time for them to take a hike.

Any have a set of carbs or carbs and manifold that will fit?

Wingnut: Your existing manifold will work just fine. In fact, many people think the N36 intake manifold (which should be the one you have) will flow better than the E88 manifold that came on 240Z's.

I would recommend first buying the z therapy just su's video , because you have to assume some tuning might need to be done as well as a complete rebuild at worst. I would check ebay as well as zcar.com. But don't pay too much maybe 150 tops but keep your manifold as Carl says its the prefered set up. Good luck

Hey,

I just bought a set of dual SU carbs with the intake manifold and heat shield from a running 240Z parts car, if you want some pictures let me know...

they are FOR SALE

You might want to look over the 260Z owner section of the ZTherapy.com price list to study up on the offerings in totally built carbs and accesories.

There is however, nothing wrong with going with used SU's if they are servicable.

The 260 did have a large amount of "stuff" hanging on the manifold and balance tube you might want to sanitize.

Wingnut, I have a set of roundtops from a 71 240. I also have intake, etc. when I bought the car it wasn't running, but I don't think there is anything wrong with the carbs. I dismantled the car, and they have been sitting in a box for many (20?) years. I just hated to part with them; I thought I might, but realistically, I'll probably never use them. I've even thought of adapting them to my 76 2002. They would of course need to be rebuilt. I'm in Indiana. alternativez2003@yahoo.com or jimfsnyder@hotmail.com

Wingnut,

That set "in storage" might be a good way to go. Throttle shafts and bushing don't wear out sitting in a box if ya know what I mean.......... Our JUST SUs video or DVD, 3 or 4 cans of carb cleaner and some rudimentory hand tools and I'll bet you could have them cleaned up and running pretty inexpensively. Our tune up kit ZT150 would have everything you'd need to fix everything but worn shafts.
