Seems like a really clean and original 72'

19 is a bit high for me, I would say 12-14 tops but thats also a matter of choice and taste, some like them completely original, but also its where it is located that could drive up the price a bit , hope he gets it but don't think he will.

With the qualifier; "Go look at the car" - "judging from the pictures", I wouldn't sell that car for a dime under $17,000. Surprising responses this morning! What more would you expect, Carl? Tie down hooks, Vicky. Yes they can be removed.

Very nice example - looks quite original - low miles - original paint....

We just discussed what these kind of cars were worth not too long ago. Remember the thread on the Wall Street Journal investment article?

It just doesn't look like it's in good enough condition to justify nearly 20k. I've seen alot better to be honest.

If chroming engine parts is not original and having flash paint is not original then so be it my Z won't be original. I think it's all relative really a well restored Z that isn't 100% original can go for more than an original car. :) I guess that's not really on the topic I just would expect more for my money.

I would expect it to be priced closer to it's current value, rather than it's future value. I'd want to be sure that the original radio was there (that the wiring / face plate / HCP wasn't HACKED to install the '80's unit that is currently installed.

I'd also have to examine the car much more closely than the pictures posted in the auction allow. They are more suitable for a magazine story than a advert to sell the car. Virtually ZERO detail that tells much about the car.

Seems I recall a similar car with 1/2 the miles selling for about 18K just a month or two ago.

I'm not saying that it's a bad car, just that it's not worth $19K to me. As I said, "We'll see, It is the Silly Season."

Now if it were Burt Diamond's car and the price was still $19K.....................
