Posted November 20, 200420 yr comment_102572 Has anyone tried the door weatherstripping made by "BAD-MFR"? Saw this on ebay and was wondering if they are any good. I tried the VB wethersripping and I could not get my doors to close without slamming them and that was without the window frame installed. According to the writeup, BAD-MFR made the O.E weathertripping for Nissan.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6763&item=7935985586&rd=1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14054-door-weatherstripping/ Share on other sites
November 20, 200420 yr comment_102575 The picture appears to be the same Precision kit that many vendors sell. I got mine from MSA. I too had to really slam my door at first with new seals but over time it gets squeezed down and becomes easier and easier. According to the writeup, BAD-MFR made the O.E weathertripping for Nissan. Those are defintely "Precision Replacement Parts" plastic bags. Nissan weatherstrips for 240Z DO NOT (did not) come with the welting. Welting was a completely different and separate part number. I strongly doubt (can't prove it) that Precision was the O.E. supplier to Nissan, and even if they were, (long ago) their current product is NOT the same. The only place I've heard of "BAD-MFG" is on eBay.Some people like them, Some hate them. I bought OEM (at a price of significantly less than the $220 quoted) because I wasn't interested in slamming my doors for any length of time just to get the seals to fit properly.
