Any chance anyone either in New Zealand or Austrailia might have a line on a piece of the inner fender area on the right hand side of a 240z. I know that being that they are right hand drive there that the battery might not have had it's way with the metal. I need a part from the firewall to the frame rail and forward to about 6 inches from the strut tower for a 240 I am restoring.

I would pay a premium for a clean one..I can provide pics for anyone who might have a car they want to part out or know where one that the pannel could be had from..

Just drop me an email.

jeffhillhousenospam@valornet.com (just remove the nospam part.)

Thanks alot.

Jeff

Doubt that would be a practical proposition for you or the supplier Jeff. Packing and freight would be very expensive. Plus any sort of decent body in Oz would not be cut up, its worth too much. Looking at US wreckers online it would be cheaper to get what you want in the US it seems, best of luck anyway :)

Only problem is that most S30 bodies in the wreckers here are rotten in this area. You could look for a long time and not find anything of use. Especially if you are east of the Mississippi River, or in the Northern tier of states where salt and snow have killed almost every Z.

This part of the chassis is really tough to find in good condition.

OK I am half way to fabricating the area as we speak but would cut it out in a heart beat for the original part. I can afford the shipping that is a non issue., I just had some performance parts made in NZ for my RB that is going into this car and the freight was not bad at all. I am just wanting to have a undetectable patch and even though the repair I have almost finished is 95% just like factory it is in my opinion detectable to someone who knows what they are looking at. I'll be honest I should have just let it stay in there as it was just some pitting that could have been fixed after the car was media blasted but I just couldn't bring myself to leave any parts that have evidence of rust in there.

I am ANAL I know..

I am still looking and will continue to look for a good patch panel untill the day I spray the final primer coats.

Thanks for the advice anyhow..

Jeff

Anything that can be mailed to the US is ok, the thing is that such a panel if available couldn't be posted and the air carriers won't pickup unless you have an account with them. Last time I checked, because I was going to send a RHD part to Canada, when the would be buyer was told of this he accused me of trying to rip him off, effing wanker.

Anyway Jeff what RB are you putting in, a mate of mine has a RB30ET in his, its going to get a 25 head soon too :devious:
